Carr finished the game with 12 points, four assists and four re- bounds. On Jan. 5, he tallied 23 points, hitting seven straight 3-pointers to open the game, as American downed Columbia University 62- 50. Carr moved into the league's top 10 career 3-point shooters. Earlier this month, Carr earned Patriot League player of the week honors for averaging 21.5 points in leading the Eagles to victories against Manhattan and Brown. Matt Glenn, a junior running back for Washington University in St. Louis, was selected to the Univer- sity Athletic Association offensive second team. Glenn led Washington in rush- ing with 522 yards and scored four touchdowns. He also caught 21 passes for 125 yards. Spartan grad produces for SPU Skyline High School graduate Maddie Maloney scored 12 points Jan. 10 to help the Seattle Pacific University women's basketball team defeat Montana State Billings, 88-69 in a Great North- west Athletic Association en- counter. She also had four assists, five steals and three rebounds. Maloney scored seven points when Seattle Pacific defeated Western Washington University 85-68 Jan. 8.
