High school jazz groups prepare for tour with weekend concert The Issaquah High School jazz groups will present their 9th annual Jazz Show Friday and Saturday, May 6 and 7 at 8 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. The performing groups will consist of the Vocal Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Bill Klein, the Stage Band directed by Glenn Lutzen- hiser, the girl's popular ensemble called the Hi-Tones and several outstanding soloists. Proceeds from the two shows will be used by the members to help pay for the coming jazz tour. On Mon- day, May 9th, these groups will leave by plane for Los Angeles to perform for several high schools in the area and at the University of Southern California before their performance at Disney- land. From there, the Issaquah groups will proceed by bus to San Francisco, where they will continue their perform- ing schedule, appearing at Ghiradelli Square, the Can- nery, Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. She died on April 25. Lucretia Moushey had liv- ed in Redmond and was formerly of lssaquah. She is survived by sons Jo- seph, of Seattle; Herbert, of Granite Falls; Keith, of Stan- wood; a sister Dorothy An- dreas, of Seattle and seven grandchildren. Earl A. Hill A funeral service for Earl A. Hill, 72, of lssaquah was held April 25, at the Commu- nity Baptist Church, officiat- ed by Dr. E. Wayne Roberts• Burial was held at the Hill- side Cemetery. Arrange- ments were made by Flin- toft's Issaquah Funeral Home. He died at the Issa- quah Villa Friday, April 22. He was born in Black Dia- mond, on 'December 12, 1910, the son of Arvid and Sophia Hill. He was raised in the Black Diamond and Ravensdale area and moved to Issaquah in 1940. He worked as a steam fitter and was a member of Local 32, Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union and also a member of- the Community Baptist Church.
