The five-credit course, "Nuclear Disarmament Dilemmas: Scientific, Social and Humanitarian Perspec- tives," is being offered Win- ter quarter through the Arts and Humanities Division of the college. The course examines the technology, development and effects of nuclear weapons on living organisms and the environment, traces the evolution of the arms race and considers the issues sur- rounding the present policy of deterrence. It also explores the economic, social and psychological causes and ef- fects of living with the pro- bability of nuclear war. "Nuclear Disarmament Dilemmas" will be taught by instructors from several dis- ciplines at B.C.C. and out- side institutions and prateS' sions. Guest lecturers include Ira Kalet, David Barasch, Jim McGrath, M.D. and Claire Thomas.
