All boys and girls interested in playing in the Issaquah Parks & Recrea- tion Department's basketball program should sign up now! All sign-ups must be completed no later than Fri. Dec. 30 and turned in to the Recreation Office which is located in City Hall, 130 E. Sunset Way, Issaquah. If possible, each team will have no more than eight players to ensure plenty of playing time. Practices will begin in January. The teams will be divided into grade groups. Volunteer coaches are needed to operate this program. Call 392-7131 if you are in- terested. For the above program each player will pay a fee of $23.00 which will cover equipment, officials, gym rentals and t-shirts. This program usually ends approximately mid- March For registration forms and additional information on specific times and places for practices and games, call the Issaquah Parks & Recreation Department, 392-7131. Boys in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades play in the Eastside Traveling League. Games are played Decem- ber through March with home games on Thursdays and Saturdays at Issaquah Jr. High. These hikes are jointly sponsored by the Issaquah Parks De- partment and the Issaquah Alps Trails Club. Ages: Open for entire family. We do ask that folks under 13 be accompanied by an older per- son. Fee: Free Equipment: For all-day trips, day pack with lunch and beverage recommended. Signup: None.
